This week Hanson UK (HeidelbergCement group) gave an update on its involvement in the HyNet North West industrial cluster project that will see the cement company aim to capture 0.8Mta of CO 2 at its Padeswood cement plant near Mold, Wales. Prime Minister visits Hanson quarry to discuss HyNet North West CCS project

Prime Minster Boris Johnson, visited Hanson’s Penmaenmawr quarry in north Wales, on 28 January, to see how the company’s recent investment in the site is allowing aggregates to be transported by rail, reducing vehicle movements and cutting CO 2 emissions.
